Per the City of Greensboro and Greensboro Cultural Center/Price Bryan Performance Place at Festival Park, pets are no longer allowed at festivals and special events. Therefore, we cannot allow pets at the Festival this Saturday. We regret this decision, but unfortunately must abide by all policies as listed in our final contract.

I’m guessing the new “no dogs allowed” policy is because there are still some pet owners that refuse to pick-up after their pet makes a mess. It’s not that hard people. It’s called being polite people. There’s no question that Greensboro has the weakest turn-out of folks of all the NC pride events. Now it’s going to get weaker. So, you’re allowed to have your pet on the patio at the restaurant next door where food is served, but not in an open field 10 feet away? Makes sense. You’re going to have lots of gays upset about not being allowed to have their pooch with them “inside” the park area. Better pre-warn Greensboro’s finest to check their attitude ahead of time. You know how them lesbians get when you tell them they can’t do something. Should make for an interesting show.
We were actually advised by the City very recently that this decision was based on a dog bite incident and the Parks & Rec department decided to not allow pets at any special event or festival held at a city park. I think the Police handled the situation with respect from everything we have heard. We don’t make the rules, but we have to live by them as a renter of the park. We missed having our furry family members in attendance.
i did leave a response about how we felt about dogs not being allowed. i found out later a friend of mine did also. yet, neither one is posted for view. why is that? they both did not contain anything foul, or contain anything that would offend anyone.
get this striaght people, you should post what people have written. otherwise no one will ever bounce back to your website. that’s marketing 101 folks. come on.
