Exhibitor Information

TRIAD PRIDE 2012 Festival will be Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at Festival Park in beautiful downtown Greensboro.  We are very excited about returning to this space that proved to be very accommodating at our 2011 event.  The Triad Pride Festival is an excellent arena to market your products and services, particularly if you have something new that your company or organization now offers.  Over 1,300 people from the Piedmont Triad attended the Triad Pride in 2011.  With the change to a later date for 2012, we expect to have even greater participation from more than 30,000 students at local college and universities.   Other changes for TRIAD PRIDE 2012 exhibitors will be able to keep their booths open during the evening Extravaganza if you choose.  This is a change that was suggested by vendors who participated in the 2011 Pride Festival.

Enclosed please find a contract and a list of rules and regulations for your review….Don’t wait! This event sells out quickly and booths are sold on a first come, first serve basis.  In addition reserve your booth and pay by May 1st and receive a $25.00 discount. Reserve your space now by returning the enclosed information or by going to our website www.triadpride.org to register and pay on line.

This is a FREE event for the Triad community.  Let the GLBTQA community know you support them and let them know about you and your company.  Don’t miss this tremendous opportunity to educate the community about your products and services.  We look forward to seeing you on September 15th 2012!  Please click here to download the exhibitor application.  Thanks!

Triad Pride Donations

Hello and welcome to Triad Pride 2012!

Alternative Resources of the Triad is pleased to announce Triad Pride 2012 to be held on Saturday,
September 15th, 2012 at the beautiful Festival Park in downtown Greensboro, NC. Pride is to
celebrate the many ties that people, organizations, businesses and groups have to the Gay, Lesbian,
Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Questioning, and Allies (GLBTQA) communities.

Triad Pride 2012 is the seventh event in the Triad sponsored by ART to celebrate our community and
our diversity. At last year’s event, over 1,300 people visited our festival and exhibitors, enjoying the
camaraderie and entertainment provided. We expect even more people attending this year with more
exhibitors and food vendors. A change in the date for 2012 will make it possible for more of the
30,000 students attending area colleges and universities to attend the event.

Additionally, in 2012 we want to sponsor activities with local organizations to prevent bullying in our
schools here in the triad as well as offer a scholarship to a deserving student. ART wants to give
something back to the community for their support of Triad Pride for the last six years.

We need your help! Triad Pride is sponsored by Alternative Resources of the Triad a local nonprofit.
Through generous sponsors, grants and the sale of exhibitor space at the festival each year
ART has been able to sponsor Triad Pride each year. However, with the increased cost of the venue
and the requirement of more security and greater amounts of insurance and other rising costs, we
need to reach out to the community and especially the LBGTQA community for help in sponsoring
this event. The Guilford Green Foundation has graciously been a sponsor by providing a grant each
year for the past six years. In 2012 the Guilford Green Foundation has made available a matching
grant up to $3,000. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible in order to make use of the GGF
matching grant.

There are several fund raising events that have already taken place and others are planned.
However, we still need the help and support of the community to see Triad Pride not only continue but
grow.

How can you help? The most pressing need is to raise money to match the Guilford Green Matching
Grant. We need people who are willing to donate $100, $75, $50 or whatever you can afford.
The need is immediate as we are just a few months away and there are expenses that we will incur in
preparation for the event. We realize that it is often difficult to make large contributions, so we want
you to know that all contributions count!

Unite to fight SB106 and HB777 (the North Carolina anti-gay super-DOMA)!   The proposed legislation would not only put an anti-gay marriage amendment on the 2012 ballot, it would also prevent private businesses and municipalities in NC from offering domestic partnership insurance benefits and make null and void Domestic Partnership Registries in the three cities in NC that offer them (Chapel Hill, Asheville and Carrboro); basically, it would end all relationship recognition outside of heterosexual marriage.

You’ve heard the saying “If you are not outraged you’re not paying attention”.  Outrage is easy, action is hard. Are you willing to take action?  You’ve sent in postcards, signed petitions, sent emails to your representatives, now it is time to join together, united, and make a stand.  Will you stand with us to let our North Carolina lawmakers know that we refuse to be even further alienated from and discriminated by our government?  We are all equal, and it is time our government started treating us as such.

Our message to NC legislators: we are your neighbors, your doctors, your lawyers, your teachers, your child care providers, your mothers, your fathers, your sons, your daughters, your brothers, your sisters.  We are your constituents.  We are your fellow human beings.  We deserve more and will no longer settle for less.
